Eddie Orpen was a competent cello playing member of the family quartet.  Here he could be at a jazz session. His father has set up the lighting to maximum advantage; though similar to a studio portrait, the instrumental prop, the loose tie and jaunty slanting hat suggest a father’s pride in his raffish son.
